NDA 2021

NDA 2021 exam will be conducted twice a year in the month of April and September. NDA or National Defence Academy exam is organised by the Union Public Service Commission(UPSC). It is a national level exam conducted every year for the selection of eligible candidates into training academies of the Indian navy, Indian Military and Air force. Candidates have to clear the written test, SSB Interview round and medical test to be eligible for the selection in NDA. NDA 2021 Application form

Candidate must have to fill the application form in order to apply for the NDA exam. The details regarding the NDA Application form are:

  • NDA 2021 Application form will start in online mode.
  • Candidates can proceed to NDA 2021 registration process from the official website.
  • The application process will start from the second week of January 2021 for NDA I and the second week of June 2021 for NDA II.
  • Candidates will have to fill the application form from the official website as no other mode will be provided by the authority.
  • Also, Candidates can submit a single application form and submission of multiple application forms will lead to rejection of the candidate.
  • Candidates will be able to complete the online application process in two parts i.e Part I and Part II.
  • In Part-I, candidates will have to fill the basic and other details in the application form.
  • In Part-II, candidates will be required to upload a photograph and signature, choice of exam center and payment of application fee.
  • Moreover, candidates may keep a copy of the filled application form for further use.

Application Fee

The details regarding the application fee are:

  • The application fee for NDA exam is Rs. 100/- only.
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ NCOs/ Sons of JCOs/ ORS are exempted from paying the application fee.

Mode of payment: Candidates can pay the application fee through online mode only via:

  • Debit Card
  • Credit Card
  • Net Banking

Note: Candidates may note that the application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

How to Apply for NDA 2021 Exam?

Candidates can follow the procedure of filling the NDA application form given below.

  • Visit the NDA official website.
  • Click on “Apply Now”.
  • Then follow the Part-I and Part-II registration.
  • In Part-I, candidates will have to fill personal as well as qualification details such as candidate’s name, gender, preference of branch, etc.
  • In Part-II, candidates have to select their choice of exam centre, upload the recent photograph and signature, and payment of application fee.
  • After filling both the parts, candidates may verify the details.
  • Then go through the declaration and tick “I agree” option.
  • At last, a confirmation page will appear on the computer screen.

NDA 2021 Eligibility Criteria

The details regarding the NDA eligibility criteria are:

Nationality

  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen/ subject of Bhutan/ subject of Nepal or Refugee of Tibetan (came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention to settle permanently in India).
  • Candidates migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African countries of Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire and Vietnam or Ethiopia with an intention of settling in India can also apply for the exam.
  • Foreign nationals: Foreign candidates (except Gorkhas) will be required to produce an eligibility certificate issued by the Govt. of India.

General Details

  • Age: Candidates age must fall in between 16.5 – 19.5 years.
    • NDA 1 2021 Age limit: Candidates must be born between 02 July 2002 – 01 July 2005.
    • NDA 2 2021 Age limit: Candidate must be born between 02 January 2003 – 01 January 2006.
  • Gender: Only Male candidates can apply for the NDA exam.
  • Marital Status: Candidates should not be married. Candidates will not be allowed to marry till completion of their training period.

Qualification Details

  • For Army Wing of National Defense Academy: Candidate must have passed class 10th & class 12th from a recognized board or university.
  • For Air Force and Naval Wings (Cadet Entry Scheme): Candidate must have passed class 10th & class 12th from a recognized board or university with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.
  • Appearing Candidates: Candidates appearing in class 12 or waiting for the result are also eligible to apply.

Physical Fitness

  • Candidates will have to qualify the physical fitness test according to the physical standard that is declared by the NDA.
  • Candidates who have ever withdrawn or resigned from any training academies of Armed Forces on disciplinary grounds cannot apply for the exam.

NDA 2021 Exam Pattern

The details regaridng the NDA Exam Pattern are:

  • Mode of Exam: The NDA exam will be conducted twice through offline mode.
  • Medium of Exam: The exam paper will be in English and Hindi language.
  • Type of Questions: The paper will contain Objective Type Questions.
  • Sections: The exam paper will be divided into two sections – Mathematics and General Ability Test.
  • Total Marks: The exam paper will be of 900 marks.
    • Mathematics: 300 marks.
    • General Ability Test: 600 marks.
  • Exam Duration: The duration of the exam will be 05 hours.
  • Marking Scheme: 0.33 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

NDA 2021 Admit Card

The details regarding the NDA admit card are:

  • NDA 2021 Admit card will release in March 2021 for NDA session I.
  • The authority will be made available in online mode.
  • The candidate will be able to download the admit card from the official website.
  • Also, The admit card for NDA session II will release in August 2021.
  • The candidate will need to login using the login credentials to download the admit card.
  • NDA admit card will contain details like candidates name, exam center, roll number, exam date and timing, etc.
  • Candidates have to bring a valid ID proof along with the admit card on the day of the exam.
  • In case of any mistakes in the admit card, the candidate may call the authorities immediately.

NDA 2021 SSB Interview

  • NDA 2021 SSB Interview will be organised after NDA result.
  • Candidates after qualifying the exam will be eligible for the interview and medical round.
  • SSB Interview will be organised in a number of rounds.
  • The interview will be organised for five days and candidates have to appear for all the rounds.

  • First round: on the first day, candidates will have to go through the psychological test.
  • Second round: On the second day, candidates will have to go through the situation reaction test, self-description test word association test, and thermatic apperception test.
  • Third round: On the third day, the president will conduct few tasks such as Lecturettes, Snake Race, Progressive Group Task, Military Planning Exercise, Intergroup Obstacle race, command task & personal interview, Group Discussion Test, half group tasks.
  • Fourth and Fifth round: On the fourth and fifth day, candidates will be tested with tests such as Individual Obstacles, Final Group Task, Interview for remaining candidates, final board conference and announcement of results.

NDA 2021 Selection Process

The details regarding the selection process are:

  • Candidates must be eligibile to apply for the NDA exam.
  • Candidates have to apply for the exam afte checking the eligibility.
  • Then, candidates have to pass the written exam with good marks.
  • After passing the written test, candidates will have to go through the interview rounds.
  • The NDA SSB inteview will be conducted in five rounds.
  • After SSB interview, candidates will have to pass the medical test.
  • At last, the authority will verify the documents of the candidate.
